A True Story

Something incredible happened to us last week at the Europe Festival in Potsdam.

°

Two young men came to our booth and made beaded bracelets. Some time after they had finished, one of them came up to me and told me the following:

°

He had made a bracelet with the name Bernd on it, but he didn’t know why—his name wasn’t Bernd. Later, an older woman saw his bracelet, gave him a hug, and told him that her husband had recently passed away, and his name had been Bernd. She was deeply moved to see his name on such a beautiful bracelet. In that moment, the young man understood why he had made it.

°

And the most incredible part?
The young man’s name is Franziscus.

°

True story.

The PerlenBus at Potsdam Europe Festival 2025

On Europe Day 2025, the PerlenBus was at the big Europe Festival in Potsdam.

°
On the beautiful Old Market Square and under sunny skies, lots and lots of guests created beautiful bracelets. Our youngest guest was just two and three-quarters years old, and our oldest visitor was nearly 80.

°

Everyone had a great time, and we’re already looking forward to being part of the Europe Festival again in 2026.

°

°

See you then!

Schwerin: The Citizen’s Festival celebrating German Unity Day was amazing!

From October 2nd to October 4th, 2024, the PerlenBus was at the wonderful Citizen’s Festival celebrating German Unity Day in Schwerin. And it was FANTASTIC! 200,000 visitors, thousands of crafted beads, and hundreds of happy new bracelet owners.

The atmosphere was fantastic for everyone involved, and it’s always the greatest joy to see so many happy PerlenBus guests with their new pieces of jewelry.

In the end, Patrick Dahlemann, the head of the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, also stopped by and thought our offerings were simply wonderful!

Many thanks to the wonderful hostess, the City of Schwerin, and all the lovely guests who came to see us. We’ll be happy to come back in 16 years 😉.
